Crimestoppers - Charlie’s Story
Our Services
-
This film required a lot of organising, the crew remained nimble, but needed to be well prepared to handle the match cuts and big camera movements.
-
Produced all crew and equipment elements of it.
Brought together a multi-talented crew to light and lens a stunning film.
-
Worked to create the edits of the film, from main cut to cutdowns of the story, developing the nuances fo each moment.
With Twelve at the helm, it was another exciting shoot, however, this was one that was a bit different. The brief was an emotional one and based on a true story where a teenage boy had lost his life after being stabbed at a party. The brief required that we shoot the film being sensitive to the original story and one which has a moment of sobriety where the story comes down to earth at the end.
The Brief
We were immediately moved by Charlie’s story and the charity aspect of being involved in it. We brought together an excellent team and pulled in favours from some of our good friends at Shoot Blue and our wider team. Our director Jonathan was adament that the start of the film needed to feel like the most fun party on earth in order to make the juxtaposition of the reality at the end having a stronger impact on the audience. We worked with playful cinematography at the start and more classic cinematography in the second half to make it come down to earth.
