BW ‘Special Sauce’

Corporate Film

Our Services

  • We worked to create a story, together with BW to hone, pre-visualise in 3D and created a script and shot-list to work off. We added a creative flair to each setup, utilising snorricam and quick cuts inter-cut with traditional to-camera content.

  • Worked with our excellent team to find the correct locations, carry out recces and location releases for all on street and location-based filming.. Arranged catering for all meals on set.

Held casting calls, hired and contracted the actors.

Crewed all departments including, Director, Producer, 1AD, DOP, 1AC, 2AC, Gaffer, Sound Recordist.

Hired and arranged equipment transport for all shoot needs.

  • Worked through the full editing process, from rough cut to final cut and three cutdowns. All sound-design and colour-grading was carried out by our regular pool of freelancers.

We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with BW over the past 10 years and having created some wild ideas together in the past, having a concept like this land on our desk was such a dream. They wanted to create a film that had gravitas and promoted their internal training programme called ‘The Sauce’. Drawing on pieces with a visual flair married with gangster tropes and a cheeky script, BW’s head of Innovation Tomas Hollingsworth wanted us to bring the piece to life, visually and creatively, with a level of input on the concept to really explore how far we could push the piece.

The Brief

The Response

The film offered us the opportunity to be playful and aesthetically striking. We started to build a language of the camera through pre-vis tests and animatics ahead of the shoot to get the pacing and shot selection right. We tested various camera techniques to make sure BW were fully on board with how far we wanted to push the film.

Casting is absolutely key; we had the good fortune of hearing from an incredibly talented actor Jamie Kenna, who loved the script and the concept and was up for helping us elevate this. As with excellent actors, we needed his level of quality to make the script land and avoid it feeling contrived, Jamie absolutely smashed it out the park for us.

We pulled together a tried and tested team for our crew. Having that level of quality and a team mentality really helped us to land this on budget for the piece.

The Result

In the end, it turned out even better than we could have hoped for. A stunning looking piece that grabs people’s attention and has left the internal team at BW wondering how they can each improve on the next film project.
